Hi all,

As a welcome diversion from all the legal beagle stuff I have been researching and the rehash of my CV, I recently received news that the local company I have helped gain a web presence have been honoured by an invite to speak at the ROYAL TELEVISION SOCIETY (RTS) Production Focus!  I am absolutely over the moon for the POV Production Company,  it is a real feather in their collective cap.

The RTS is the premier forum for anything and everything to do with the television community (view RTS website).  The POV team have been invited to speak about the ongoing production Beaulieu: School For Spies.  This production is not yet “in the can” with a delivery date of late April.  History (Worldwide) have commissioned the documentary.

One of the compelling reasons for such exposure is the subject matter of School For Spies.  The people interviewed are, without a shadow of a doubt, some of the bravest, most honorable, most modest and most under voiced people to have fought for their beliefs.  Our country clearly owes them a huge gratitude of debt.

Personally I think the fact that POV are making the documentary is brilliant  and I’m not saying that just because they are a client of mine (thier last cheque cleared and has already been spent, so I don’t need to blow smoke up their backsides!).  Without the smaller, independent production companies, stories such as School For Spies would probably never be told and would fade into obscurity.  That would be a phenomenal shame.  I for one want my children to appreciate their modern history and to be proud of the role this nation played in the two World Wars.  Sadly I believe that children are not exposed to enough “recent history” at school or in the home.

On a more businessy note, the RTS commented on the website and the  fact that they liked it and want to know how it is working for the company.  I am really chuffed with this as it is the site that I helped design.
